My name is Dean Dupuis and I've been harp player for many years with The Mud Boys in Ottawa, Ontario and thinking of family history I wanted to reach out to connect! Enver Sampson Jr was my mother's cousin....my second cousin. After all these years she, Marcella Dupuis, still speaks to Enver on a weekly basis and has shared her down home memories with me time and time again!

I would love an opportunity to see you guys play in Ottawa the next time you're in town so please keep us in the loop!

Dean

Hello!
I live in Serbia, Europe.
In 1989, when I was 15, first time I heard your music.
My country was then Yugoslavia, now called Serbia.
In our country was a strong music scene and we knew a lot about music from "the West".
It was a good old time! :)
I bought an audio tape in a store and I very liked your music.
I did not even understand all the words. :)
But the music was good as a dream ...
I imagined that, you look like John Wayne. :)
Me and The Boys - was song, and all my friends were together.
Recently, I remembered about the good old times and good music.
Who would have thought that, in Europe, in a small country, at the village someone loves your music.
I wish you all the best!
Best regards from Serbia!!!
Slobodan

Actually i like all of Matt's stuff
Comments:
As a fellow Cape bretoner, living away most of my adult life. I have been a fan of Matt's since the 70's and have been to see him countless times, enjoy each and every show. My wife who is from Ontario has heard his recordings many times and hasn't been fortunate enough to take in a show yet. We are coming to Glace Bay to visit my family for Christmas this year and we will certainly be attending the News years eve gig in Membertou. Really looking forward to it.

Comments:
That song was hands down, one of the first pieces of music I ever came to really appreciate. I would play that over and over again on dad's stereo. i'm hoping to get Bails out for the first of August so we can come down and see you play. It's been way too long. hope all is well with everyon, cheers.
Eric.

Caught your performance at the Carleton last evening. You were absolutely fabulous. I have been to many, many Minglewood concerts over the years and last night was the best ever! I am sure that Rita is very proud of you. What an impassioned performance. I told people today that I didn't know what was featured at Carnegie Hall last night but whatever it was, it wasn't as good as where I. Please hurry back.

JIM STEVENSON
JIM (TINY) STEVENSON James Robert Stevenson passed away suddenly in his home on February 19, 2005, at the age of 51. Jim was predeceased by his parents Robert and Lilian Stevenson. Jim leaves to remember and mourn his passing, his sister Linda, nephew Stacy (Tracy), niece Sage, as well as many dear family and friends. Jim was born April 27, 1953 in Transcona where he grew up. It was here that he created many a lasting friendship and also where his passion for motorcycles and music began. Jim's career began in 1974 when he crossed paths with the comedy duo, Maclean and Maclean. He became their Road Manager. Together they did many tours of Canada and Europe. This led Jim to tours with The Guess Who, The Stampeders, David Wilcox, The Downchild Blues Band, to name a few. Tiny, as many know him, provided personal security for many, many stars. The most memorable was as the bodyguard for Mick Jagger during the infamous El Mocombo concert in Toronto in the late 1970's. In 1987 Jim added a new role to his career path. He helped forge the emerging Motion Picture and Television production industry in Manitoba, as well as the concert industry. This work in transportation continued until his untimely passing. Some of Tiny's best times were spent cruising the highways of North America on his Harley-Davidson. Those journeys always included the annual pilgrimage to Sturgis in South Dakota. Other favorite destinations included New Orleans, Arizona, and Fargo. Tiny gave his time, love and commitment to support Tom Jackson's Huron Carole, the unpublicized Christmas Eve Dinner for the homeless in Winnipeg, and any cause or soul who happened his way. Jim was caring, thoughtful, generous, and selfless. He constantly put others ahead of himself, regardless of his situation. Anyone Tiny came into contact with was left with an indelible impression, not soon to be forgotten. He touched many lives and will be sorely missed. In the immortal words of The Rolling Stones, raise a glass to the salt of the earth . In lieu of flowers please make donations in Jim's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association. A special scholarship fund in his name will be created. A celebration of Jim's life will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2005
