How High is High Enough
Comments:
We were so sad to hear about Jeff Healey. We figure he must be a good friend of your as he is on the 'Live at Last' cd. Our deepest sympathies. We played it all night last night in honor of Jeff. Indeed, Canadian music lost a great one.

Can't You See - For Sure!
Comments:
Hey Matt
We try to catch you every time you hit town! Ya never get old Buddy! Saw you once at the Salisbury Legion and my 10 yr old (at the time) made me promise to get your autograph. All I had for you to sign (besides the CD that I bought) was a piece of wall paper!
It still hangs on his wall as one of his most prized possessions! Gotta sing this weekend at a local hootenanny for charity, it sure won't sound like you, but I'm gonna do my rendition of Can't You See. It's my favourite, you can have so much fun singing it!
Cheers, and keep on rocking the blues!

So far have seen you in Sydney, Glace Bay, Hawkesbury, Halifax,Toronto, Niagara, Calgary, MacMurry and others when I was too out of it to remember. Looking for the tune with the lyrics "Hank Williams Said It Best I'm so Lonesome I could Cry" Is it available? See you at Healy's.

Matt:

I used to lug your gear in/out of the SUB at DAL in the mid-1970's, and have been a fan ever since ... I even took my PARENTS to see you in 1982 and we all danced on the tables! Now I'm older than they were then - but not quite "old" yet! You and Dutch Mason turned me on to the blues at a young age ... so I was psyched when I found out you were playing Healey's! The east coast crew was out in full force, and you did not let us down ... you STILL play with passion, and I'm already looking forward to the NEXT time!

Rock on, brother!

Phil

Can't You See
Comments:
I moved from Cape Breton to the Yukon 18 years ago. On a recent stroll on a beautiful snowy night, I had my MP3 on and "Can't You See" started playing. It gets me every time. Such great words, and so true of us East Coasters who have left the farm to move West. My last time seeing the Minglewood Band was in the 80's at a bar in Toronto. The parking lot had a bunch of N.S. licence plates, and during the performance Matt stood on our table while playing his guitar. Of course we were all grinning from ear to ear. Maybe Matt will one day come up to the Yukon and play for us homesick east coasters??

Comments:
terry and i have recently moved from alberta to his home province of nova scotia. he grew up listening to the likes of matt and mr. mason. i finally got to see you for the first time during your last (known) performance at the "booming bar" in the Round Hill Hotel. we seen matt and the boys at the shore club for their 60th anniversary in 2006 - but due to the mob scene there, we were unable to catch your attention. that night was loads of fun and are thrilled to think you will become one of our 'regulars' - and we are anxiously awaiting the posting of your 2008 schedule. keep up the good work!
